National Service Scheme has been introduced at the RVS CET. It was introduced as a complement to the academic programmes of the College. It has become a part and parcel of the academic system . The major objective ever since has been to involve the students in a society of which they are an integral part. The entire programme of the NSS revolves round the students wherein the NSS volunteers put the students in a single thread in order to implement the NSS objectives. NSS is a challenging medium for functioning amongst the downtrodden section of the society.

Launched in the Mahatma Gandhi Birth Centenary year 1969, as a student youth service program, National Service Scheme (NSS) aims at arousing social consciousness of the youth with an overall objective of personality development of the students through community service.

A Camp of 10 day duration is to be conducted every year in an adopted village/slum on specific theme.
