Rathinavel Subramaniam (RVS) Educational Trust was established in 1983 as a public charitable Trust, in fond memory of Master Rathinavel Subramaniam the elder son of the chairman Vijayashree Dr. K. V. Kupusamy and Late Smt. K. Padmavathy, with objectives to create facilities for education, health care and up-liftment of the poor and the downtrodden rural regions. The vision of this charitable trust is to provide affordable quality education to the needy particularly from rural India. Dr.K.V.Kupusamy has proved and distinguished himself as a great visionary and an able administrator. He has carved out a Niche in the educational arena by establishing Educational Institutions spread all over TamilNadu.
He is a shining example to show how one could rise from a humble beginning to preside over an empire of educational institutions by the virtues of hard work, dedication and devotion to a committed cause known for his magnanimity , spiritual bent of mind and suave cool demeanor, he is widely recognized and respected. To him , the panacea for the maladies of mankind in Education, Health care and Farming. In a true sense, He is a Philanthropist, Educationalist, Industrialist, Agriculturalist, very humble and kindful person by nature.
RVS College of Engineering and Technology (RVS CET) is an Autonomous Institution. It was established in the year 2007 by Vijashree Dr. K.V. Kuppusamy, Chairman RVS Educational Trust. The Institution is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. RVS CET is accredited by NAAC with A+ Grade.
The Institution is located 14 Kms away from the cotton city of TamilNadu, Coimbatore spread over a sprawling Campus area of 200 acres enclosed by the serene beauty of Southern India.
The Institution pioneered in the field of innovative education keeping the needs of the society in focus right from its inception.
The students as well as faculty of the Institution are inspired and supported to attain high standards of education and various skills sets in their career. Faculty, with their impressive academic, acumen research and Industrial experience lead the students to achieve “Excellence and competence” which inturn enhances the core strength of students and enables them to realize their 3600development.
The Institution offers nine undergraduate programmes, nine post graduate programmes and also offers 3 Ph. D programmes, covering Engineering and Technology. The Institution has signed MOU with International Universities to facilitate global education. As Coimbatore is the hub of Industries, our Institution has signed MOU with 60+ Industries to enhance the skills of our students.
The Institution has excellent infrastructure facilities such as well-equipped laboratories, spacious classrooms, smart classes and seminarhalls.
The Training and Placement cell serves as a bridge between the academic world and the professional realm, facilitating the transition of students from the classroom to the workplace. It also focuses on nurturing the students with varied skill sets. The department offers rigorous training to our students on Soft skills, Aptitude, Reasoning, Quantitative, Verbal and Technical skills to form our students to be industry ready and more employable right from the first year. We have consistently had good placement records.
